DIY Painted Mylar Balloons

DIY Painted Mylar Balloons

Did you know that you can paint Mylar balloons to match your theme or decor? I stumbled upon this accidentally and it was so easy to do.

All you need is the mylar balloons you plan to use, acrylic paint and sponge brushes.

First, give the balloons a quick coat of white paint to prime them.

Let dry.

Second, paint the balloons your colors of choice. This year our Christmas decor is modern or as Michaels is calling it this “Jingle Jolly Way,” so I painted my letters aqua blue, light orange, yellow and flamingo pink. I have to tell you that this is the first time that I have decorated this way and I am in love with it all.

Let the paint dry.

Third, give the balloon a second coat.

AND VOILA!

Your balloons are ready to be hung once they are dry.
